Even the big ning networks are in on the parties, but I urge my vendors not to get lost in the all the blasts and promoting. Online vendor parties are all about networking and talking to people as well. Imagine you are the AVON LADY and knocking on your neighbors door to sell the latest fragrance, just as the founder of AVON did. That is the online party. You have a captive audience, and they are paying attention to YOU. YOU have their attention for 30 mins, so you'll want to make sure you come for the meet and greet, or stay later to chat after the event.
I am carole harris, and have been in direct sales for over 3 years. I have been doing online vendor fairs for over 1 yr. Yes, YOU can get sales, and build your business with parties. You just have to be willing to be patient, and sometimes be your own worst critic. I moderate all my vendor fairs, and on occassion have a moderator help me if I step away for a while. With my special events I will have moderators assisting me. These ladies are work at home moms just like you.
I am a part time nurse, and mother of two lovely girls. I love my online vendor fairs, and really DO participate in vendor fairs myself. I feel this is an important aspect as an owner. I have several work at home businesses, but my love is the vendor fairs I run! My plans for the future are writing, and I may go back to school for something in nursing....my hubby would really like to see that. My two daughters are 10 and 6. I have been married to my husband for 15 yrs in June.
